Ministry Plan for First Lutheran:
Our Best Understanding of the Plan God Holds for
Us
His
Mission for Us:
This
is our best understanding of why God wants us here as a congregation.
Teaching Truth, Sharing Hope, Serving
All!
His
Vision for Us:
This
is our best understanding of God's will for the future of our
congregation.
We will be involved in our community, and
invite them to unburden their lives to our awesome God.
We will reach out to them and pray for them.
Our guests will be welcomed warmly by loving
and caring people.
They will be surprised by the hope that we share, and be inspired
by God's teachings,
and encouraged by His Spirit.
Our members will be united in spirit and purpose.
We will love each other, support each other, encourage and equip
each as we are immersed in the Word.
Our vibrant family of faith will span generations as we mature
in our faith and share the joy of Christ Jesus!
His
Values for Us:
These
are the values we will stand for, without compromise, regardless
of the challenges placed before us.
These are our guiding principles, defining our relationship and
our work together.

His
Goal for Us:
This
is our first destination on our journey toward His Vision for
Us.
Work together in
joyful unity and singleness of purpose
as we build up the body of Christ from within and from our community,
increasing the number of people who worship God and learn His
truths
at First Lutheran Church and School.
His
Strategies for Us:
This
is our best understanding of the methods God wants us to use to
accomplish His goals.
* We
will work together in LOVE
- We will listen to each other
- We will listen to God
- We will love the loveable -- and the unloveable
* Prayer is a part of everything we do
- With each other
- For each other
- For our work together
* It's not about me
- We will work together in humility, so that some
will be saved
- We will surrender to God's will and timing
"Will You not revive us again,
that Your people may rejoice in You?"
- Psalm 85:6
