Fellowship Opportunities

There are many opportunities for fellowship at First Lutheran.

Bible Study
• Sunday Morning Adult Bible Class - 10:15 a.m.

Choir
Supports and enhances the worship of the congregation through singing of hymns, responses and anthems. They rehearse on Wednesday evenings and invite you to join them for singing and great fellowship.

Ladies Guild
Through the Guild, the women cultivate Christian love and fellowship. They hold membership in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. There is a range of activities from lunches out to crafts and working for projects of the church. All communicant members are welcome.

Altar Guild
Members prepare the chancel for all services and decorate for festival seasons. Duties include preparation for communion and caring for all items used on the altar.

Youth Group
Open to 4th graders and up, the Lutheran Youth Fellowship Group meets regularly for activities, service projects or Bible studies.

Home Bible Studies
Fellow Christians meet at one another's house at various times to discover the strength that comes from the Scriptures, and the unique friendship that Christians share.

Evangelism & Fellowship Committees
These committees work together to encourage old and new members (and not-yet members) in their walk with God, focusing especially on events that give everyone an opportunity to come together, as a family and community.
Annual events include our church & school picnic; the pumpkin patch festival in September; a Christmas concert/community benefit; a children's Easter egg hunt in the Spring; and our summer concert/benefit series in June, July and August.

Making Banners & Baptismal Napkins
Made without sewing skills, banners add visual interest to the worship service. If you are willing to design, cut, or create patterns, your help is welcomed. A remembrance napkin is presented to each child baptized. If you can cross-stitch, hemstitch, or are willing to learn, you will enjoy this group.

Deacons
Our Deacons maintain order at the worship services, assist in seating, and collect the offering.
